Clipchop is a tool. You are responsible for how you use it and for complying with YouTube and copyright law.
Clipchop does not host YouTube videos. It helps you request a copy of streams you are allowed to access, optionally trimmed to a time range.
YouTube's Terms of Service apply to content on their platform. In many cases, downloading or redistributing content without permission from the rights holder is not allowed.
Use Clipchop for personal, lawful purposes — for example content you created, content you have licensed, or uses clearly permitted in your jurisdiction. When in doubt, ask the creator or a lawyer.
